Honest and easy to digest advice for those thinking of starting out in business or self employment in the creative sector.

There are lots of great sources of support out there for start ups to get advice on how to get started, but sometimes you just need a cuppa and a chat with someone who’s already gone through it. Sometimes you need encouragement and to be heard, rather than spreadsheets and tax information. Maybe you just want to network and meet others who will encourage and support you. Self-employment and starting up can be a lonely process. That’s where we come in. Having personal experience in setting up and running small creative businesses, we are here to talk you through anything you might need to know when getting started. From setting up an Etsy and how to get the most from it, to planning your Instagram and social media, we’re here to talk. We may not have all the answers, but we can point you in the direction of others who can help you on your journey.  There’s room for all of us.

We do not charge for this advice. As a Community Interest Company, one of our goals is to help women and those outwith the gender binary become self employed in the creative economy, but we extend our business support and advice to everyone at the moment. The money we raise from printing allows us to take the time to have these meetings, currently on a weekly basis, however we hope to increase this support even more so as time goes on.
